Dance of the Orisha Movement Therapy

These workshops are available to book for your next event or retreat and brings empowerment and healing through the Afro-Cuban Yoruba dances to the Orishas, preserving a rich tradition which was brought to Cuba during the 17th century and to Australia in the 1990’s.

In the workshops, students will learn aspects of Afro-Cuban dances through the Orishas, spirits of nature and relating to the archetypes of our human psyche.

And by the end of the immersion, through a simple Tratado (sequence of rhythms telling a story), participants will experience awareness of the relationship between the rhythms, sacred songs, and our organic embodiment of nature itself.
