Learn the fundamentals of Afro-Cuban Yoruba dance to the Orisha and the Rumbas, preserving the rich traditions which were brought to Cuba during the 17th century and to Australia in the 1990’s, as well as the popular dances such as Son, Mambo and Chachacha.
In these workshop, students will learn aspects of Afro-Cuban dance body movement & technique, from steps, rhythm, style and embodiment.
Note that both men and women are encouraged to enrol in these classes
